During May Day holiday, Rudong Tianheng sanitation crew chose to stick to their posts in order to create a clean, tidy and orderly environment for citizens and holidaymakers.
With the increasing traffic flow and the amount of waste generated, Rudong Tianheng adjusts operation scheduling while carrying out fine cleaning around the main and secondary roads and business districts with large population flow. Frequency of cleaning has also been strengthened in waterways, public toilets, street greenery, and intersections. On average, Rudong Tianheng mobilized more than 1,000 workers and more than 80 cleaning vehicles each day during the holiday.
Rudong Tianheng has stepped up efforts to remove roadside bins and strengthen door-to-door collection on 30 relevant road sections. This is part of the initiative to increase awareness among shop owners to implement waste segregation and waste reduction from the source, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of waste collection.
To curb road dust which is stirred up by winds during the holiday, sweeping and flushing trucks have been deployed on the city's main and secondary roads, as well as pavements.
There has been an increase in the amount of waste in the public square, shopping malls, commercial streets, industrial parks, hotels, and villages. In order to address this issue, Rudong Tianheng has increased the frequency of waste pickup, and made reasonable fleet arrangements for waste removal.
Before the holiday, the inspection team carried out safety supervision in transfer stations, Dayu Town, Yangkou Port, Chahe Town, Shuangdian Town and other key projects, focusing on fire prevention, flood control, safe driving, limited space operations, electric bicycle charging, and safe operation of facilities and equipment.
